Our weekend project

Well, our project of this weekend was to tackle the bathroom. We decided since we haven't really done any painting or remodeling that the smallest room in the house was a good place to start.

This is what it looked like before we started. Our entire house is painted in a flat finish beige color. It makes me think of sand when I look at it, but THE WHOLE HOUSE is just overkill to me. There was a spot next to the shower that needed some drywall replaced, we needed to move the tp roll holder and just in general update it to what we like.

This is Hubby patching an area on the wall that was uneven. We spent most of the day sanding, patching and taping.

This is the new bathroom color. It's called Seaside retreat lavendar, but it's almost blue and matches the shower curtain perfectly. We still haven't completely finished, but all we need to do is touch up the molding pieces and paint the linen closet door. Everything else is done though. Hubby even put in a new electric socket into the bathroom because there wasn't one in there (what?!?!).

That was how we spent our weekend.

  1. Glad to see that you're starting to really make the house yours! How exciting!! I love to look at pictures of house and remodels.

A bathroom without an outlet?!?!? Good thing hubby is handy and was able to put you one in!

  2. Wow!! Yay homeownership!!

Would love to see a finished pic when you're done. :)
